Dental Veneers

Veneers are super-thin coverings placed on the front surfaces of teeth to correct an array of cosmetic defects including:

Veneers can also be used to correct the appearance of crooked teeth for men and women who don’t want to straighten their teeth with Invisalign® or braces.

At Princeton Center for Dental Aesthetics and Implants, dental veneer application begins with preparation of the tooth, if necessary, by removing a very small portion of the tooth surface to make room for the veneer material. An impression is made of the tooth and sent to a lab where the veneer will be custom created, and a temporary veneer will be placed on the tooth to protect it. At the second visit, the veneer will be applied with a strong adhesive for a secure, comfortable fit. Veneers can be shaded to match neighboring teeth for a completely natural look.

Veneers are made of durable porcelain, and with proper care including regular brushing and routine dental visits they can last for many, many years.

Veneers can be a great option for just about anyone who wants to improve the look of their smile. Although they may be more costly than dental bonding, the translucent materials tend to look more natural than composites used in bonding, and veneers are also more durable.
