Orthodontics is a branch of dentistry that deals with the irregularities of the teeth and their correction. Contrary to popular belief, orthodontics is not only performed for aesthetics reasons.

Proper alignment of the teeth ensures optimal oral health and overall health. At Princeton Center for Dental Aesthetics and Implants we offer all phases of Orthodontics including Adolescent Orthodontics, Adult Orthodontics and Accelerated Orthodontics.

Adolescent Orthodontics. We evaluate each Patient individually as orthodontics can vary greatly from case to case.

At Princeton Center for Dental Aesthetics and Implants your child can expect a Comprehensive Orthodontic Evaluation. Based on the results of this evaluation, your child will be prescribed the necessary orthodontic treatment according to their dentition and occlusion.

Adult Orthodontics

Proper tooth alignment can be achieved by using traditional methods, such as metal braces or the Invisalign™ system. Together with our doctors you will choose which method of orthodontics best suits your individual needs, both from a functional, as well as aesthetic perspective.

Traditional Orthodontics

Traditional Orthodontics involves the use of brackets and wires to achieve the proper alignment and occlusion of your teeth. We offer different material options, including metal and ceramic. They both provide the same desired outcome; however the ceramic brackets are tooth colored making them more aesthetic.

Invisalign™

Invisalign™ straightens your teeth using a custom-made series of aligners created for you and only you. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible BPA free plastic that you wear over your teeth. They gradually and gently shift your teeth into place. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You change to a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks, until your treatment is complete. You’ll achieve a great smile with little interference to you daily life.

Accelerated Orthodontics

Accelerated Orthodontics is used in conjunction with AcceleDent™ Aura. It is an FDA-cleared medical device that we are pleased to be able to offer to our patients. It is used for 20 minutes daily at home during orthodontic treatment; along with you fixed braces or clear aligners.

AcceleDent™ works by producing gentle pulses that safely and gently speed up tooth movement. The lightweight, easy-to-use device has been clinically shown to accelerate orthodontic treatment by up to 50% and to decrease the discomfort sometimes associated with treatment.
